Fundsdirect is the trading name of Investment Funds Direct Limited and Investment Funds Direct Group Limited (IFDGL). 75% of IFDGL was acquired by the Royal London Group in October 2007. IFAs continue to have a significant shareholding and will continue to benefit from share options in return for supporting the platform. The company has 3 distinct businesses:

Ascentric IFA Wrap Service The IFA Wrap service which trades as 'Ascentric'. This is the main business purpose of Fundsdirect
Investment Administration A Third Party Investment Administration business
FundsDirect fund supermarket A direct to consumer service under the Fundsdirect brand enabling direct access to funds and ISA products

Royal London Group is expressly committed to the existing strategy and positioning of Fundsdirect and in particular the Ascentric Wrap service. Specifically this relates to the availability of any product provider on the platform and the existence of IFA share participation.
