Clive Boothman - Non-Executive Chairman
|
|
Clive Boothman has over twenty years
experience in financial services and investment management.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he began his City
career with Schroders, where he built up their UK unit trust
business between 1987 and 1998 to be one of the largest and most
successful in the UK. He then became Managing Director of their
global Private Clients business, before leaving to run Gerrard,
an amalgamation of Greig Middleton and Capel Cure Sharp to form
the largest private client stockbroker in the UK. More recently
he has run Cofunds, the UK's largest independent funds'
supermarket, before undertaking a number of consulting
assignments and non-executive positions.
Clive is well known within the industry,
having been past Chairman of AUTIF (now the IMA) and a board
member of APCIMS and LAUTRO.

Hugo Thorman - Executive Managing
Director

|
Hugo Thorman has held a number of executive
roles within the retail Financial Services industry, more
recently as Chief Executive of James Hay and Intermediary
Marketing Director of Abbey National. Previous experience also
includes Assistant Director of Strategy at Abbey Life, Marketing
Director of Black Horse Financial Services and as a Consultant
at Watson Wyatt.
Hugo has a sound knowledge of the
intermediary market and expertise in pensions, investments and
life assurance. He is recognised as a strategic manager who has
championed and delivered innovative ideas that have enhanced a
number of financial products and service propositions, improving
their marketability and ultimately delivering shareholder value.
Most recently he brought the Wrap from concept to reality within
the Abbey National Group and established the Abbey Wrap for
Intermediaries service as the second of only two full Wrap
operations live in the UK.

Malcolm Coury - Non-Executive IFA
Director & Trustee
|
|
Malcolm Coury has over 20 years experience in
the financial services industry as a professional adviser and sales
manager. He started his career with Financial Planning Services in
1983 and by 1985 had become the company's youngest Branch Manager based
in Bournemouth.
During his 12 years with the company Malcolm was consistently one of the company's top
business writers and managers, being recognised by the Board for consistently achieving
the highest per capita sales and highest persistency of any region in the company. In 1989 Malcolm moved to Bath where he still lives and works today.
Malcolm is currently Managing Director of Money Wise
Independent Financial Advisers Limited, which he founded in July 1997.
The practice is the "Official IFA" and a sponsor of Bath Rugby focusing on professional,
private and business clients. Malcolm has appeared regularly on the BBC's TV programme
"It's your money", holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, is a pensions and
investment specialist and has been a regular course facilitator for the Personal Finance
Society (formerly SOFA).

Michael Fordham - Executive
Business Development Director

|
Michael is best known for establishing the
Northumberland Group as the largest supplier of PEP systems and
administration services in the UK between 1989 and 1996. He
originally trained at Hoskyns in 1977 and then joined Software
Sciences before jointly founding the Northumberland Group in
1982. The Northumberland Group was an investment systems and
administration services provider that became a leading third
party administrator of PEP, investment and employee schemes. In
1991 Banque Generale du Luxembourg acquired the group and
Michael remained as Managing Director for a further 5 years.
Michael is also a Director of Investment
Sciences Limited, the provider of investment systems and the
branded funds supermarket service for IFAs. Prior to this he was
Managing Director of Interactive Investor Solutions Limited, the
B2B software business of Interactive Investor International plc.
Before Interactive Investor, he was an associate director of Cap
Gemini Ernst & Young and Head of Business Development & Sales
Support for the Banking & Securities Division.

Mark Hastings - Executive Finance Director
|
|
Mark Hastings was formerly a Vice-President with Credit Suisse First Boston and brings to the business experience of regulatory, statutory and financial control. Mark specialised in the accounting of complex financial products and spent three years as Financial Controller at Credit Suisse's derivatives arm CSFP.
Whilst Mark is predominantly a financial services expert, he began his career in practise before spending a number of years in the airline industry. He is a Chartered Management Accountant and has a Masters in Finance from London Business School.

David Hudd - Executive Operations Director
|
|
David has over thirty years experience within the Financial Services sector, predominantly within equities registration and registrars businesses. His career began with Nat West Registrars where he was instrumental in establishing the Employee Share Plan business and later for the functional specification of a new core operating system.
At the Royal Bank of Scotland he was responsible for the migration of over 8m shareholder records from Nat West systems to the RBS platform and then undertook the role of Business Project Manager for the Halifax demutualization (the largest floatation in UK equity history). He then managed a white-labelled Registrars service for that newly listed client whilst the register matured.
Since 1998, he worked for Computershare Investor Services where he undertook a number of executive roles including Head of UK Operations and Head of UK Business Solutions Group. |

David Harvey - Executive IT Director
|
|
David has over ten years experience in development and management of financial systems, particularly in Stock Broking, Clearing and Investment Management services. Whilst at TCA Synergo, he worked at Halifax Share Dealing, YorkSHARE and Barclays Stockbrokers, providing consultation on their Stock Broking platform. He moved onto RBS where he managed developments that were part of the Basel II project.
David returned to Stock Broking when he joined Société Générale to work on their Clearing platform. He then joined Investment Sciences Limited in 2006 and he played a key role in implementing the Ascentric platform at Fundsdirect.
