I recently updated you on progress since our new platform went live on 23 April. In the first phase we successfully moved a number of clients who held GIA/ISA and third party products. 

Our aim all along has been to achieve a carefully managed move, ensuring that the overall stability of our new platform is never compromised. 

I’m pleased to assure you that although we continue to address some issues, the foundations are robust. We’re satisfied that the time is now right to progress to the next phase where we’ll extend the benefits to more users. This includes those who hold pension accounts.

Your clients are scheduled to make the move between the middle of November and early January. Exact dates have still to be confirmed but we’ll stay in close contact as things develop and confirm the precise date ahead of time.

In preparation for the move there are some things that you can do now to make the transition as smooth as possible:-

Training

Nominate your platform champion and book yourself onto a training webinar.

Or for a refresher, visit the training area of the website.

Logging in

When it’s time to get started on the new platform you’ll need your old platform login details. Please check this with your clients too. If you or they have forgotten these or not used them for a while, now’s the time to get them reinstated. Contact Customer Services on 0345 076 6140.

It’s important that the move takes place in a stable environment. To create this, it’ll be necessary to reduce and remove certain functionality in the days around launch. There’ll be more details on this nearer the time so you’ll know what to expect and can plan accordingly. In the meantime, please ensure there’s enough cash in client accounts to cover any fees, charges or other income requirements as we enter Q4.

This is an exciting time for us as we work towards full implementation of the new technology, which will ultimately give you much of the platform capability you’ve been asking for. This includes practical tools for working more productively and providing a better service to your clients - preview and familiarise yourself with the new platform.
