We feel that Ascentric’s communication really stands out, and we have previously moved away from platforms as we felt they weren’t listening to our feedback and needs.

Our clients are looking for consistent returns with a fair blend of risk and reward. In order to achieve this we use a managed portfolio service from Tier One Capital which offers a range of investment trusts which contain direct lending opportunities. Ascentric’s new platform provides the flexibility we need to be able to access investments like this for our clients.

The new charging structure helps to ensure the costs don’t creep up when using Discretionary Fund Managers and their managed portfolios. We rebalance our clients on a monthly basis, with these rebalances placing hundreds of trades at a time. Without Ascentric’s simplified pricing, and free trading, it would be much harder to keep control of the charges and it would ultimately cost our clients more.

Due to the simple pricing we are able to keep the cost of these rebalances down which benefits our customers.

The first reason we chose Ascentric as our platform was the ability to have new securities set up on the platform quickly and easily. This allows us to meet our client’s investment needs and requirements.

Secondly the ability to ring-fence share classes is crucial for our clients as it allows them to invest in fund or share classes which offer a lower cost. Without the option to ring-fence share classes they wouldn’t be able to access these lower cost classes.

Finally we feel the flexibility and simple pricing of the platform is a huge benefit to our business. We manage 6 models on the Ascentric platform which are rebalanced monthly creating hundreds of trades. Due to the simple pricing we are able to keep the cost of these rebalances down which benefits our customers.
