Following my last update, I’m pleased to tell you that our plans to move your clients to the new platform are progressing well. Our priority, as always, is to ensure as smooth a transition as possible for you and for them.

To help with your planning over the coming weeks, I’d like to make you aware that the next transition is targeted for 26 November. 

You can help your clients achieve a seamless transition

The safest way for your clients to make a smooth transition is to create a stable environment. For this reason, certain functionality will be temporarily unavailable from 13 November. This includes activities such as dealing, rebalancing and ad-hoc pension payments. These measures should help ensure that your clients can make the move, as planned. Please make sure you understand the important deadlines coming up so you and your clients can prepare, without any surprises.  In particular, please prepare for a short period when you will be unable to sell down assets to raise additional cash.

You should also be aware that both our platforms will be unavailable and customer service lines closed from Friday 23 November to Monday 26 November inclusive. This is a necessary step to safely complete the move and we’ll let you know once the new platform is available and our lines are open. Your support and understanding at this time is appreciated and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Early fee payment

For one month only, October adviser and platform fees for all business on the old platform, and all DFM fees on both platforms, will be deducted, processed and paid, earlier than normal. Fees will be paid to clear on 9 November and deducted from clients by 10/11 November. Please ensure that clients have sufficient cash available in their accounts to cover these.

We’d also like to remind you that it’s really important to take all initial fees from the old platform before Friday 16 November. No outstanding initial fees will transfer from the old platform to the new platform so if you’ve not taken your fees before this time, you’ll need to contact our Customer Services team. They’ll then provide you with a form to request a one-off manual transaction to retrieve the fees and payment is likely to be delayed.

We’ll keep you updated on developments and, whilst we’re pulling out all the stops to achieve this target plan, you’ll be the first to know if the dates change.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for your new platform support pack, due to land on your doorstep any day now, and register for training if you haven’t already done so.
